1. Acceptance of Terms

By registering for, accessing, or using QuickDown ("the Service"), you confirm that you are at least 13 years of age (or 16 years of age in the EU/EEA), that you have read and understood these Terms of Service, and that you agree to be bound by them. If you do not agree, you must not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

QuickDown is a free file hosting platform that allows registered users to upload, store, and share files via unique short links. The Service is provided free of charge. While we make reasonable efforts to maintain availability, we do not guarantee uninterrupted access and reserve the right to modify or discontinue the Service at any time without notice.

3. Prohibited Content & Conduct

You may not upload, share, or otherwise distribute any content that:

• Is illegal under Dutch law, EU law, or the law of your country of residence
• Constitutes or depicts child sexual abuse material (CSAM) or any sexual content involving minors — violations are reported immediately to law enforcement and the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC)
• Promotes, glorifies, or facilitates terrorism, extremism, or mass violence
• Contains malware, ransomware, viruses, spyware, or any malicious executable code
• Infringes on the intellectual property, copyright, or trademark rights of any third party
• Constitutes harassment, doxxing, or targeted abuse of any individual
• Facilitates drug trafficking, human trafficking, or other illegal commerce
• Contains non-consensual intimate imagery ("revenge porn")
• Is used for phishing, fraud, or impersonation
• Violates any third-party privacy rights

4. Account Suspension & Termination

We reserve the right to immediately suspend or permanently ban any account that violates these Terms without prior notice. Suspended accounts will be notified of the reason. Upon suspension:

• All uploaded files may be deleted
• An automated report is filed with our admin team
• For serious violations, information may be shared with law enforcement
• You may not create a new account to circumvent a suspension

You may appeal a suspension by contacting us at abuse@quickdown.nl. We will review appeals within 14 days.

5. Content Ownership & License

You retain full ownership of content you upload. By uploading content, you grant QuickDown a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to store, display, and serve the content solely for the purpose of providing the Service. We do not claim ownership of your files.

6. Privacy, IP Logging & GDPR Compliance

QuickDown is operated from the Netherlands and complies with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). We collect and process the following personal data:

• Account data: Username, email address, hashed password, registration date, TOS acceptance timestamp
• IP addresses: We log IP addresses for abuse prevention and security. This data is used to investigate violations, enforce our Terms, and cooperate with law enforcement where legally required. The full extent of logging is only disclosed where required by law.
• Upload metadata: File name, size, type, upload timestamp, and associated IP address
• VPN/proxy detection events: Blocked connection attempts are logged by IP and timestamp
• Server access logs: Retained for a maximum of 30 days

7. Data Loss Disclaimer

QuickDown provides file hosting on a "best effort" basis. We are not liable for any data loss, whether due to hardware failure, software bugs, security incidents, or service discontinuation. Do not use QuickDown as your sole backup solution. We recommend maintaining your own copies of any files you upload.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, QuickDown, its operators, and contributors shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of or inability to use the Service, including loss of data, revenue, or goodwill. Our total liability for any claim shall not exceed €50.

9. Copyright & DMCA / NTD Takedowns

We respect intellectual property rights. If you believe content on QuickDown infringes your copyright, send a takedown notice to dmca@quickdown.nl including: (a) identification of the work, (b) identification of the infringing material and its URL, (c) your contact information, and (d) a statement of good faith belief. We will respond within 5 business days.

10. Availability & Service Changes

The Service is provided free of charge. We make no guarantees of uptime, performance, or continued availability. We may add, change, or remove features at any time. We may discontinue the Service entirely with 30 days' notice where reasonably possible.

11. VPN & Proxy Blocking

To keep QuickDown free and to prevent the anonymous upload of illegal or harmful content, we block connections from VPNs, proxies, Tor exit nodes, and datacenter IP ranges. By using our service, you acknowledge and accept this measure.

This policy exists to ensure that users can be held accountable for uploaded content, and to support our ability to cooperate with law enforcement where required. Users who trigger a false VPN detection may contact abuse@quickdown.nl to request a review.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Netherlands. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Amsterdam, the Netherlands.

13. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify registered users by email or by displaying a notice on the Service. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
